The construction of the toboggan track at the Adventure Park, on the slope of the “Lemberga hūte” ski hill was launched on July 1, 2022. Since the idea of creating a toboggan track on the slope of the “Lemberga hūte” ski hill had been cherished for several years, this was a high-readiness municipal investment project prepared by the municipal institution “Ventspils Komunalā pārvalde” for the development of a new tourism service in Ventspils, which was accomplished with state budget co-financing of 1.6 million euros.
The track structures and sleds were manufactured at the “Josef Wiegand GmbH & Co. KG” factory in Germany, one of the largest and most experienced taboggan track manufacturers in the world.
The construction was carried out by SIA “PILSBŪVE”, construction supervision at the facility was provided by SIA “Firma L4”, and author supervision was provided by the architectural firms SIA “Nams”, SIA “Arvol”, and SIA “AB Clausen Latvia”.
The track has been leased to SIA "Olimpiskais centrs "Ventspils" in an open rental auction procedure.
